Slit lamp and HR-OCT images and histopathology of benign reactive lymphoid hyperplasia. a Slit lamp photograph of a 49-year-old Caucasian female who presented with a superior pink bulbar conjunctival lesion (black arrow). b HR-OCT revealed a normal epithelial layer with a large, homogenous, hyporeflective subepithelial lesion with monomorphic dot-like infiltrates (white arrows). Note the hyperreflective band of tissue below the epithelium and above the infiltrate. c A hypercellular monomorphic infiltrate was present within the substantia propria (hematoxylin and eosin; original magnification × 100). Flow cytometry was negative for B or T cell proliferation. Given its appearance clinically and on HR-OCT, this lesion was biopsied 3 separate times, all of which corroborated the diagnosis of benign reactive lymphoid hyperplasia
