Study Procedure Flow Chart. Healthy controls and multiple sclerosis patients (with or without optic neuritis) were recruited according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Written informed consent was obtained from all study participants. After pupillary dilation, subjects were imaged with the RFI. Processing of the resulting images yielded the arteriolar and venular blood flow velocities (BFVs)
