Examples of the difficulties in rating the ellipsoid zone (EZ) at baseline and after the 3-monthly injection of anti-VEGF. a. A small subfoveal neuroretinal detachment and in the shadowing cone effect of a retinal cyst makes the rating of the EZ difficult. In this case the EZ was rated as ‘disrupted’ by consensus. b.
